A licensed glider pilot will take you up in our two seat trainer for a breathtaking experience over the city of Vernon and the ridge north of the airport. We will be flying most weekends in summer, weather permitting.

Freedom's Wings

Freedom's Wings Canada provides people with disabilities the opportunity to fly.

Our program strives to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities by providing a physically and intellectually exciting and challenging introduction to flight. Freedom’s Wings is the alliance between the charities that support disabled persons and the gliding club that is the service provider.

As such, Silver Star Soaring provides the volunteer pilots, aircraft, tow aircraft and volunteer ground personnel for Inspiration Flights for disabled youths (rehab), and Freedom Flights for those able enough to take flight training.
